Vintage Cosmetic Makeup Tweed Train Case With Leather Trim

21 Feb

more info click here

Up next on the auction floor is a vintage tweed cosmetic makeup train case with leather trim. The train case is in good condition for its age. The outside of the case has no tares or rips. The leather has some rough spots as noted in the picture. The handle also ha some flaws that have also been noted. The locks stick but you can still open them by pulling on them with your nails. The inside of the case has one leather part that is not attached where the mirror will be and 1 small spot on the bottom of case. Te case does have an order from being stored for a long time. I am airing out the case until I have to ship. The case is 8 ¼” high 13 ½ ” long and 9 1′/2” wide. Please look at all pictures since they are considered part of the description.

Now for the fine print. E-mail questions as all items are sold as is. All Sales Are Final. I accept paypal. Payment must be received within five days of the auction’s close unless prior other arrangements have been made or (even though I really hate to do this!) a non-paying bidder alert will be filed. I am easy to work with and very reasonable but non-paying bidders cost money and time. Less money and less time means less auctions that I am able to offer. I strive my best to accurately describe and represent every item. I love to leave glowing feedback and would appreciate if a buyer lets me know about any problems BEFORE leaving anything less than 5 star ratings. Buyer pays USPS Parcel rate shipping, unless otherwise stated or arranged except on small items which may be shipped first class. I charge a handling fee of $1.00 for extra packing materials or time on fragile items. Effective immediately- I will be adding a $.80 charge for delivery confirmation on all items sent within the USA. Postal insurance will be added to each order; please do not pay before you get an invoice. International buyers add $5.00 plus actual shipping costs for handling and paperwork required. I only ship twice a week due to my job hours, so allow 3-5 business days after receipt of payment for the item to ship. If you are in my area {Chula Vista, Calif} and want to pick up items in person to save the shipping fees, that can be easily arranged.

Be sure to check out my other auctions as I have very eclectic tastes and you never know when you will find something you can’t live without! I am happy to combine orders to save on shipping as long as items can be packaged together without a problem, and if multiple items are won within a calendar week. Thanks for looking and good luck!!!!

GRANDMOTHER’S “SHEDRAIN” NYLON UMBRELLA – 1949, PORTLAND, OREGON

I’m still in the CLOSET of my FAMILY’S RAIN GEAR (what you need when you live in near the Pacific Coast sometimes).  This was MY DAD’S MOTHER’S who WENT BY FERRY from ILLWACO, WA (right on the ocean) to PORTLAND, OREGON where “SHEDRAIN” SOLD THEIR UMBRELLAS and PURCHASED this one.”SHEDRAIN” began business in 1947BLACK UMBRELLA with a LIGHT WOOD HANDLE and METAL SHAFTThe SLIDE PORTION is METAL and the SPINES are also METAL.  It WORKS VERY SMOOTHLY and the SHADE REMAINS SOLIDLY FIXED when OPENED.  This is a WONDERFUL UMBRELLA that is COMPLETELY FUNCTIONAL and WORKING VERY WELL.The METAL FRAME is in GOOD CONDITION and there are NO TEARS or areas of DAMAGE to the SHADE. The SHADE is 100% NYLON and in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The SHADE PORTION of this UMBRELLA is a VERY LARGE 40 1/4″ ACROSS.  It is 36″ LONG.The DESIGNER “SHEDRAIN” is IDENTIFIED by the ORIGINAL TAG that is SEWN INSIDE the SHADE.  There is also a TAG that has “MADE IN KOREA” on it.  I believe that later umbrellas are made in Italy. There is a “SWEET” BUTTON that you can PUSH that AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYS the SHADE.  It WORKS PERFECTLY.”SHEDRAIN” UMBRELLAS are WORLD RE-KNOWN and this VINTAGE, BLACK ONE is in SUCH FINE CONDITION that it is a WONDERFUL COLLECTOR’S ITEM.There is one of the metal spines that is slightly rolled.  It in no way affects the looks or functionality of this AWESOME PIECE but I do want it mentioned for your information. I do want to mention also that a metal round piece needs to be re-affixed and is identifiable in PHOTO # 6 (the bottom round). I am not too sure where it belongs but I do know that it is very, very minor.PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE IF YOU WISH MORE PHOTOGRAPHS or INFORMATION. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vintage/retro Lemonade And Spirit Bottles

20 Feb

more info click here

These bottles lived under my mother’s sink for years so I have no idea when or where they have come from. The lemonade bottle says Forsters on it and the label is a bit torn.  The lid doesn’t  look original – it is very loose and looks like half  the cork is missing.   it is very heavy. The Martel one I know nothing about apart from the fact it does look old.  The plain little bottle is a mystery other than perhaps it had whisky in it.  Or is it one from abroad and perhaps never had anything in it.I don’t know how old they are but they look like the 40s or 50s.

Vintage Microphone Octava Md-30 Oktava Ultra Ussr 1948

19 Feb

more info click here

The microphone is rather unique and despite some flaws, is demanded among collectioners. It was produced on the Oktava factory (USSR) in 1948 and has it’s own ID 832. On the body there are engraved MD-30, number and the year, but no info on where it was produced. The reason for it: the factory gained the OKTAVA name only in 1948, but before that it was called the ‘RADIODETAL’ (russian ‘R’ in ‘wings’ which you can see in the photo proves it). This microphone is quite rare because it had only been used for radio broadcasting, and in a few studios only. You won’t find it on the ‘OKTAVA’ website or in it’s radiomuseum, as since 1948, most of them just disappeared. I regret that the given example does not have a stand (which you can see on the last retro photo). Also, there are some signs of wear and tear on the body. The microphone is in a working condition though, I have tested it using proper device, also having checked the dynamic membrane (it is not torn). The weight is 0.749 kg. Vintage, mega rare item.

If you have any questions or would like to get additional info/detailed photos, I am happy to help – please contact me directly. Usually it takes about 5-7 days to deliver them to the UK or European Union countries. For Canada & USA it takes about 10-15 days .

THANK YOU FOR BIDDING!

I accept PAYPAL ONLY and kindly ask to clear the payment in 5 days after the purchase!
